The Schoolgirls Rowing Season is held over the Winter season with 4 Regattas which culminate in the final Regatta – The Head of The River.

These regattas have traditionally been held at Canning Bridge. This year the last two regattas will be held at Champion Lakes. Each Regatta is hosted by one of the schools represented on the committee. These schools include:

  • John XXIII
  • Methodist Ladies College
  • Penrhos College
  • Perth College
  • Presbyterian Ladies College
  • St Hilda’s

All Schoolgirls from all schools are invited to participate in these regattas and may do so with a letter of approval from their principal.

All trophies must be returned by January of the following year. Please return them to Perth College - 31 Lawley Crescent, Mt Lawley.

Any trophies that are not returned will need to be replaced by the recipient.

Rowing Rules

Nomination and Entry to Schoolgirl Rowing Regattas

Non-IGSSA Schoolgirls that would like to enter regattas must obtain a permission letter from their Principal and forward their rowing levy, their permission letter and a photo of their school rowing colours by Friday 7th May.

2010 Regatta Entry Forms  must be sent in by the Monday before the regatta dates. Electonic submission is prefereable. The format for entries is non-negotiable. Entries must read as follows:

Firstname Surname from Stroke to Bow, Cox and Coach.

For Example: 

Clare Reeson, Gemma De Knock, Keith Reynolds, Sally Newmarch, Luke Callier (cox), Cameron Haines (coach)

HEAD OF THE RIVER REGATTA ENTRIES - Please check the following memo to ensure you have filled in your nominations for the Head of the River Regatta. No other format will be accepted. Forms should be emailed to both Luke Callier and Keith Reynolds (email addresses on the memo). Click HERE to download the HOR Entries Memo.
